Submission Grappling
All the benefits of BJJ without the gi
Submission Grappling is a grappling based martial art that emphasises takedowns and submissions to defeat your opponent. It is similiar to Brazilain Jiu Jitsu and uses alot of the same positions and submissions. The major difference is the lack of kimono or gi. The lack of gi increases the amount of speed and athleticism used and it also limits the sweeping and submission options. Submission Grappling helps students develop skills that are useful in real self defense situations as well as in the sporting environment. It may be trained solely or in conjunction with traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes.
Practical Self Defense
Grappling has been proven to be one of the most effective fighting style when in close-quarters or on the ground. Regardless of the size and strength of your opponents, you will learn the mechanics of the human body and bring them to submission through joint manipulations, chokes and holds, using leverage, and advanced grappling techniques.
